Just a few kilometers away we will be in front of Puerto de Hambre and Fuerte Bulnes, both National Historical Monuments, then by the San Isidro Lighthouse, the last lighthouse on the American continent that also has this categorization.
The navigation continues south until reaching Bouchage Bay, where there will be a stop to disembark passengers, at the Cabo Froward lodge, after this stop they will pass by Cape Froward , where '' the cross of the seas '' is located in the last border of the American continent.
The trip continues entering Cape Holland and the first Marine Protected Area in Chile, the Francisco Coloane Marine Park , where there is a great biological diversity of aquatic vertebrates such as sea lions, petrels, cormorants, southern dolphins, etc. This area is the only feeding site for the humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) that is located outside of Antarctic waters, where the whales arrive with their calves every summer.
Also in this same park, there is a reproductive colony of Magellanic penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus), with Rupert Island being the preferred place for these birds. Afterwards, they will pass through English Pass and Shag Pass where, in addition to being able to see marine diversity, they will also be able to enjoy the beauty of the pristine landscape surrounded by mountains and dense temperate subantarctic forests.
