Remarkable and strenuous day hike experience to one of the most beautiful places on the planet, the Torres del Paine Base. The shuttle begins to pick up passengers at their respective accommodations in Puerto Natales at 6:30am to be at Portería Laguna Amarga at approximately 08:30 hrs, starting the trekking from Hotel Las Torres around 09:00 hrs. hrs.

The level of demand for this excursion is medium to medium-high (10 km of ascent, with a gradient of almost 900 meters), therefore it is not advisable for sedentary or elderly people. The ascent can last about 3.5 - 4 hours on average, at a normal pace and taking the corresponding breaks, with the last half hour being very slow progress due to a sector of moraine or medium-sized stones left by the glacial ice.

Once at the main viewpoint of Base Torres, you will have a good time to photograph the spectacular surroundings, and eat and hydrate enough to begin the descent. Between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. the entire group should arrive back in the van to begin the return to the city of Puerto Natales.

It is necessary to purchase tickets for Torres del Paine in advance on the website www.pasesparques.cl, which will be valid for 3 consecutive days.

- Wear hiking footwear, used and molded to your feet.  Never use new hiking footwear on this trek.

- Bring light trekking food such as: sandwiches, fresh fruits (specially bananas), nuts, chocolates, cereal bars, and at least 1L water bottle.

- It is recommended not to wear very warm clothing on this excursion since the physical effort required to climb raises the body temperature throughout the walk.
