We'll depart from San Pedro de Atacama heading west, visiting Yerbas Buenas, a place of great historical importance as it hosts one of the most significant petroglyph sites in the region. 

This was a crossing point for indigenous caravans coming from northeastern Argentina and the Bolivian Altiplano, reaching all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Here, we'll find a variety of rock carvings and drawings depicting llamas, camels, birds, monkeys, and dogs.

Next, you'll visit the area known as the Rainbow Valley. We'll stop to stretch our legs and explore this place on a 1-hour hike each way. Its name comes from the diverse colors of the rocks, resulting from various minerals they contain.

After a short guided tour and time for photographs, we'll move on to the Salado River area, where a small valley offers an opportunity for a hike to appreciate the landscape. 

Following this, we'll return to San Pedro de Atacama, where the activity concludes.
